Now is the time to get your winter virus vaccines boosters. We recommend influenza for everyone in April/ May each year . It is funded by the government for under 5 years, over 65 years and people with higher risk medical conditions. It is a modest $30 for others. For anyone over 50 or with at risk conditions we recommend at least an annual covid booster also.
RSV vaccine ( protects against Respiratory Syncytial Virus) is recommended for people over 60 and pregnant women ( to protect the baby). Currently it is funded for those over 75 years and pregnant women between 28 and 36 weeks of gestation.
